HMRC have updated the Negligible Value list of shares or securities formerly quoted on the London Stock Exchange.

The list identifies those which have been officially declared of negligible value by the Shares and Assets Valuation Office.  This is relevant for the purposes of negligible value claims under S24(2), TCGA 1992 .

The list now includes:

• Ordinary shares of Entertainment Rights plc from an effective date of 1 April 2009
• Stock units of Waterford Wedgwood UK plc from an effective date of 29 April 2010

As well as the UK listing for Waterford Wedgwood UK plc, this company was also listed on the Irish Stock Exchange from 17 December 2008 until 5 January 2009.
